A graduate of Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Meagan is a 21 year old student attending Chaffey Community College and majoring in Business Administration. Born in Fremont, California and raised in the city of Fontana, she is the daughter of Fred and Sheila Tandy. Being an African American woman, Meagan is the first in the history of Miss California USA to have won the title succeeding another African American woman. She is the 4th African American to hold the title in the 55 year history of the Miss California USA system.

She works for Sephora: The Beauty Authority and is a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild). Meagan is a working actress and model; she recently filmed her first national commercial for Wendys™. She plans to create a great name for herself in the Arts and Entertainment Industry and earn her star on Hollywoods™ famous walk of fame.

When she is not working the runway or working in front of the camera, you can find her actively involved in public service and assisting the Women on the Move Network. Meagan stands firm and strong in high morals and faith. By assisting the Whose Your Hero mentoring program in the Inland Empire, she finds great joy and a sense of fulfillment while helping children and teens to obtain great moral standards. She is also an advocate for local city missions where she and a team of volunteers collect food and clothing. The volunteers then deliver the items to less fortunate families and to the homeless."

She continues to attend several red carpet and celebrity filled events in Hollywood and in Los Angeles while keeping up with her busy schedule as a student, model, actress and beauty consultant. She placed as 3rd runner up in the Miss USA 2007 pageant which was held at the Kodak Theater on March 23rd, 2007. Since the pageant Meagan has filmed two more national commercials: one for the soon to be released movie Shrek 3 and the other for Boost Mobile. She also filmed a movie promotional for the film Shrek 3. With Believe it, Conceive it, Receive it as her motto, Meagan is preparing for a successful and bright future as she takes on Hollywood and strives to build her career as an actress.
