Raquel Roxanne Beezley is the
57th MISS CALIFORNIA USA®. Raquel was crowned MISS CALIFORNIA
USA 2008 on November 2007 in Los Angeles, California at the Orpheum
Theatre.
Raquel is a 21 year old college graduate who holds her Associates
of Arts degree in Humanities. Her future goal is to become an entertainment/fashion
correspondent.
A true California girl, Raquel was born and raised in the southern
California desert in the small town of Barstow. Once a waitress at
a local restaurant, Raquel has now devoted all of her time to the
position of MISS CALIFORNIA USA®. You can find her on many red
carpet events, celebrity hosted fundraisers, and exclusive parties
in Hollywood.
Raquel has a passion for helping society. She is a community service
advocate and has won many awards for her service with such organizations
as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Make A Wish Foundation,
March of Dimes, Relay for Life, and veteran and retirement homes in
her own community. Raquel is most inspired by her involvement with
the “Green Movement” where she shares her knowledge about
the effects of global warming in society and how individuals can decrease
their harmful acts to help in the prevention of global warming. Due
to her continued leadership and community service, the city of Barstow
declared December 17, “Raquel Beezley Day”.
When Raquel isn’t busy working out, lending a helping hand or
attending lavish celebrity events you can find her spending quality
time with her loved ones. When not cooking Filipino cuisine with her
grandmother, babysitting with her niece, or laughing hysterically
with her mother, Raquel enjoys watching ESPN and sport games with
her older brother Ryan and her red-headed twin brother Conrad.
