Each year we work to provide a fun environment in which women from around the Golden State have the opportunity to develop skills that will help them win in life by being their personal best in everything they do. The pageant encourages you to build self-confidence, individual pride, and a greater self-awareness. You will make new and lasting friendships and find that the pageant will be a rewarding and worthwhile experience.

This year, we are excited to introduce a new Wellness Experience as part of the pageant weekend. Designed to support contestants both on and off the stage, the program will focus on mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing through activities such as mindfulness, movement, recovery, and confidence-building sessions. Our goal is to ensure every contestant feels supported, balanced, and empowered throughout the pageant experience.

MEET THE MISS CALIFORNIA USA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

KRISTEN BRADFORD
​
Kristen Bradford is the Executive Director of Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA, where she has spent the past five years leading one of the most recognized and respected state pageant programs in the United States. Known for her strategic leadership and creative vision, Kristen has helped evolve the organization by producing high-level pageant experiences, developing celebrity-driven programming, and expanding philanthropic initiatives that empower young women throughout California.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Kristen relocated to California to attend Pepperdine University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations in 2000 and her Master’s degree in Public Policy in 2003. While in college, she began her journey with the Miss Universe Organization, first as a competitor and later working behind the scenes in a variety of capacities within the pageant industry.
Throughout her career, Kristen has remained deeply committed to mentorship and personal development. Her leadership focuses on helping contestants build confidence, develop leadership skills, and cultivate a strong sense of purpose that extends far beyond the pageant stage. Under her direction, the Miss California USA organization has placed increased emphasis on wellness, community service, and meaningful partnerships that create lasting impact.
In addition to her work in pageantry, Kristen has extensive experience producing high-profile events and celebrity-driven experiences. She has worked behind the scenes on major award shows, film festivals, and private events, collaborating with notable figures in the entertainment industry.
Through her leadership of Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA, Kristen continues to champion opportunities for young women to grow as leaders, advocates, and role models while representing California on the national stage.
